FAQ

Questions

Where does this data come from?

Every record is a real building permit from the Municipality of Anchorage Development Services Permit Activity Report — a public record the city publishes. We parse it, clean it, and make it searchable. We don't add or invent anything.

How fresh is the data?

The Municipality of Anchorage publishes a new permit report each month (with weekly summaries during peak season). We refresh the feed when a new report posts, so you're always seeing the latest issued permits. A daily live feed is on our roadmap.

Which trades is this best for?

Roofing (#1 in Alaska due to snow load and ice damage), mechanical/HVAC, electrical, plumbing, framing, and suppliers/site-services that sell into projects. Filter the feed by trade to see only what's relevant.

Do I get contact info?

Every permit includes the real project address, work type, value, and permit number, plus a link to the city's permit lookup (which lists the applicant/contractor on file). We show real public records — we never fabricate contact data.

Do you cover Mat-Su and Fairbanks?

Honestly: not yet, and we won't show fake data to pretend we do. The Mat-Su Borough doesn't require building permits for most construction (no areawide building code), so there's no permit feed to publish. Fairbanks issues permits but doesn't publish them as open data yet — we're working on a direct feed. Today, PermitRadar Alaska is an Anchorage product.

Is there a contract?

No. Month-to-month, cancel anytime. Start with a free 7-day trial of Pro — no credit card required to browse the preview.
